An ongoing journal
I had meant to start this much earlier. But starting a new business from the ground up is daunting and doesn't leave a whole lot of time for much else! I want this to be an ongoing journal of our record company start up. The trials as well as the triumphs! So I guess there is no time like the present. We have 3 artists signed with us currently. They are fantastic! I can't wait to get their singles up on the net! We are starting with Christmas albums since we don't have to deal with copyright issues. One thing at a time. We are also looking for session musicians and have a few leads. We have gone back and forth over a location for our business. We would love to build the studio on our property, we have 7 acres and a nice chunk next to the house. I think I would rather rent a location, but Geoffrey isn't so sure. All I know is that things are gonna snowball and we had better think of something QUICK! Well, off to do some more research!

NOT my fault this time!
I am pretty forgetful sometimes, but this time it wasn't my fault that I didn't post! The only ISP service available to me right now is dial up and I gotta tell ya, IT STINKS! The blasted thing won't stay connected, kicks me off and I get to the point of just saying Forget it, or I will throw the blasted computer right out the window! So for both our sakes, I have to just stay away and try again later! I had forgotten how much work it was to get a non profit up and going! It has been almost 5 years since I started my last one for the babies. I'm enjoying it all, though, and look forward to the adventure! I've got a quilt to finish that is very important and when I get it done and sent, then I will concentrate on making some more bags and things from the pattern pack that I got from Harry S. Truman. Love those Babies
ISP rant!
This time, it wasn't my forgetfulness that caused me not to post. It is my darned ISP! Keeps kicking me off and won't stay connected. I live in the boonies and the only thing available to me that I can afford at the moment is dial up. It is horrible service! I get connected, start working and BAM it disconnects. Then I have to wait for it to connect again and not 2 minutes later it does the same thing. It is soooooo frustrating! When it happens more than a couple of times, I get frustrated and just turn the thing off. I love technology and computers and the like, but it frstrates me so bad some days! Looks like Gustav is preparing to hit the people in LA again! Those poor people, they will surely be in my thoughts and prayers! How much can one city take? Things are at least coming along fabulously with all the baby things! I'm boxing deliveries and will mail them out as I am able.
